Océ Managed Print Services included in Gartner Magic Quadrant

Following the successful Europe-wide launch, Océ Managed Print Services offering has now been included in the 2010 edition of the Gartner magic Quadrant. This edition evaluates:

Océ strengths identified by Gartner include thorough process documentation, expertise in printer fleet integration and use of the proven, industry-standard methodologies PRINCE2TM and ITILTM.
 
Disciplined, process-based approach
 
Gartner's Magic Quadrant uses 15 weighted criteria to plot vendors' relative strengths in the market, enabling potential customers to map vendor capabilities against their current and future needs. The identified Océ strengths reflect the company's strong focus on a disciplined, process-based approach, designed to maximize the business value of print and document management while at the same time delivering significant cost savings.
 
Clear documentation and proven integration capabilities
 
Gartner states that Océ's clear, detailed documentation of its MPS processes can be valuable for example when using the assessment results to win support from management, business departments and other stakeholders. Another Océ strength is its proven ability to integrate customers' existing printer fleets with their CRD or copy room. Océ can leverage its many years of experience operating customers' CRDs and mailrooms in Europe and North America to provide hands-on service, says Gartner. Furthermore, the fact that Océ has anchored its MPS in industry-standard process methodologies such as ITIL (IT services management) and PRINCE2 (structured project management) helps to win the support of senior IT management.
 
Successful Europe-wide Océ MPS references
 
Océ has MPS references in countries across Europe with large national and multinational corporate customers, as well as with healthcare and local government organizations and educational institutes. Customer experience shows that the controlled Océ Managed Print Services environment typically allows print‑related costs to be reduced by as much as 30%. Savings like these are more important than ever now that companies have cut costs in all other IT‑related areas, but have yet to seize possible gains in their print processes. Costs are also made transparent and predictable on an enterprise-wide basis, allowing accurate budgeting.
