ISO20000 Gap Analysis
Frankfurt, Germany, October 2010 (German version)

With its new product, ISO 20000 Gap Analysis, procise gmbh (www.procise.com ) is now meeting the wishes and specifications of its customers.

In the course of the continually increasing significance of stabile and efficient IT service management, the standardisation of the IT processes are gaining more and more in meaning. In this development, procise is carrying out the ISO Gap Analysis, to provide customers - amongst others from the banking and insurance sector - with an overview of the development of IT service management processes maturity level.

The basis for the Gap Analysis is the internationally recognised standard of reference for the IT service management, the ISO 20000. In the framework of the specification from the ISO, minimum demands are set for IT processes. As part of the gap analysis, with the help of a formalised procedure analysis is conducted to determine whether and to what extent the existing service management corresponds to the specifications of the ISO 20000.

The implementation of ISO 20000 gap analysis is divided into phases. First, the relevant processes are identified and set with the client in a short conception phase. Through a workshop, the client and associate agree on the way forward. In the implementation phase, the level of maturity is ascertained. In the concluding evaluation phase, the results are processed, the optimisation potential is identified, and concrete and prioritised recommended actions are announced. In the implementation of measures, procise clients regularly fall back on the know-how and the wealth of experience of the procise advisor.

There is additional value for clients in the ISO 20000 Gap Analysis with the possibility of receiving a Ist-Status on the level of maturity of their IT service management, inside of a short period of time of approximately 1 to 4 weeks. Clear optimisation potential will be shown to the businesses, which will improve the entire stability of the IT service management. A further important point is the ease of tracing whether compliance demands have been met.
