ITIL Refresh Project Tranche A - Supporting Guidan
Spring through to the Autumn 2006 sees the delivery of the ITIL Refresh products that support the ‘core’ volumes. The products will be web-based and freely available although it has been suggested that they may require a licence! The products are:

·Integrated ITIL process maps â€" the current version of ITIL (v2) processes will be base-lined and then subsequently updated as the new ‘core’ processes are defined/developed. It has also been suggested that the maps may contain interface points into other industry practices (e.g. Cobit, Prince2, Six Sigma etc), these are expected to be published at the end of the ITIL Refresh project.

·Glossary of standard terms and definitions â€" by removing the existing idioms and colloquialisms a baseline has been established for the ITIL Refresh project. As ITIL version 3 is formed the glossary will be amended to reflect the new ‘core’ volumes. The current baseline can be found at:

On completion of the ITIL core publications the updated glossary will be re-published. As soon as it is available ITILNEWS will let you know.

·A high level introduction â€" The introduction covers the concepts of ITIL with a particular focus on the new structure, process and content and value proposition, together with the benefits of adopting ITIL.

·What’s new? â€" Focussed primarily for existing ITIL (v2) users this product covers the new structure, content and the changes introduced by the ITIL Refresh project.

As the products are released we will be updating ITILNEWS visitors with the relevant web addresses where the information can be found â€" stay tuned. You can link to our RSS feed for this section, or leave your e-mail address with us and we will send you a notification on any updates.
