ADVERTISE ON ITILnews.com - Overview
 
Our month-on-month traffic is growing (as it always has since our first one page "coming soon" site in 2006!).
 
Putting your company, product or service in front of our highly targeted audience, has got to be better than scatter gun advertising, where you get bamboozled by "big numbers", but only a tiny percentage of these are relevant (if even that).
 
We have new and repeat visitors who spend a long time reading our content, and they view plenty of it.
 
We are very much about quality, not simply quantity. ITILnews.com is growing into a trusted brand in the marketplace, and is driven to provide relevant timely information to our community and that includes relevant and timely products and services news.

Advertising / sponsorship options;
 
Option 1) Banner advert at the top of every page (except where a dedicated home page / category advert is already running).
  • At least 300 views of your advert, every day, GUARANTEED
  • Free roll-over of your advert into the following month if the daily minimum is not achieved, until it is achieved (pro-rata)
  • Maximum of only 5 ads at any time in the same slot - your ad rotates equally with any other ads running - and the guarantee still applies
  • Only a 30 day minimum agreement ("1 month")
  • Adverts will be chosen and given priority by ITILnews.com on their potential value and interest to our visitors
  • Free 12 months entry into The ITIL Directory with your first advert (even if your advert is only run for 30 days!)
  • Only $300 - less than 4c per (highly targeted) banner advert impression.
 
Option 2) Banner advert at the top of the home page (only the home page).
 
$1500 for every 20,000 impressions, or 30 days, whichever takes the longer to achieve.
 
The minimum agreement is only 30 days.
 
There are only two slots available at any time for this option and adverts will rotate equally. One advertiser may take both slots if available.
 
Free 12 months entry into The ITIL Directory plus up to 5 subcategories with your first advert (even if your advert is only run for 30 days!).
 
 
Option 3) Banner advert at the top of a specific menu section, i.e. The "ITIL version 3" main menu option.
 
$500 for 3 months / 10,000 impressions, whichever is the sooner.
 
The agreement term is 3 months. Only one slot is available per category section, but the advert will rotate with any adverts (up to five others) running under Option 1.
 
Free 12 months entry into The ITIL Directory plus up to 3 subcategories.
 
 
Option 4) Sponsored sales oriented content ("advertorial").
 
An article of up to two A4 pages at 12pt, containing sales oriented content, but content which must be relevant to ITILnews.com visitors, positioned within an existing menu section, and initially also placed on the home page.
 
The length of time the article spends on the home page depends entirely on how many additional articles are added in the period.
 
$400 per article. 12 month agreement to retain the article under the selected menu section. The article may remain on the web site beyond the agreement period as an archived article, if it has value to visitors. Otherwise it will be deleted. 50% of original cost retains the article for a further 12 months.
 
Articles must be approved by ITILnews.com prior to acceptance and must be relevant to our visitors. Our decision is final in this regard.
 
The contributor may submit minor changes (up to 50 words) to the article during the agreement period as required, subject to a maximum of one change per month.
 
The contributor may provide up to 3 web links to their own web site from key phrases in the content and also one at the bottom of the article as contributor / author.  Additional links can be added at $50 per link.
 
Free 12 months entry into The ITIL Directory.
 
 
Option 5) Sponsored non-sales oriented content.
 
An article of up to three A4 pages at 12pt, containing no sales oriented content, positioned within an existing menu section, and initially also placed on the home page.  The length of time the article spends on the home page depends entirely on how many additional articles are added in the period.
 
The contributor may provide a link to their own web site at the bottom of the article as contributor / author (NB: rel="nofollow").
 
These may be provided for free inclusion on ITILnews.com.
 
If a link back to your site is required from the article, we reserve the right to charge $100 per article. This will also ensure the article remains for 12 months under the relevant menu section. Additional links can be added at $50 per link.
 
Articles must be approved by ITILnews.com prior to commencement.  For this package, it will be the decision of ITILnews.com whether an article is deemed to be "sales oriented" or not.
 
The contributor may submit changes to the article during the agreement period as required, but these will be subject to a $20 amendment fee each time.
 
 
Option 6) Activation of links within existing ITILnews.com articles
 
Sponsors may adopt links from any phrase within any standard article (i.e. non-sponsored) on ITILnews.com, which will link to a page on ITILnews.com covering the key phrase topic in more detail as agreed, where these phrases are not already linked or reserved.
 
The sponsor may then include up to 3 links (nofollow) from key phrases within this additional page to their own web site, and also one at the bottom of the article as contributor / author.
 
$50 per link phrase. Information page covering the link phrase text to be provided by the sponsor, up to three A4 pages.
 
12 month agreement. The additional article will remain in place for as long as deemed relevant beyond the 12 month agreement, but all links, except the link at the foot of the article may be removed.
 
Free 12 months entry into The ITIL Directory.
 
 
Payment for advertising is due in advance and is non-refundable, subject to individual agreements as above.
 
An "impression" is one display of the advert which will be logged into a local database.
